Commercial Description:
This ale is the product of brewing with a selection of barley and wheat malt, and with no added sugar. This traditional brewing approach provides the smooth malt character which is balanced by a triple hopping of the brew with Pride of Ringwood and Saaz hops. The brew has fermented similarly to its stablemates Pale and Sparkling Ale, with the customary secondary fermentation in the bottle and can.

Bottled: As everyone else has pointed out, I think Coopers are pulling a swifty by calling this a mild. However as a midstrenght ale in a very ordinary lineup of midstrenght beers in the Australian market, this aint too bad. Signature coopers nose and flavour dominated by yeasty fruitiness, quite thin body. Drinkable if you are forced to be driving drunken mates around the place.

Bottle: Initial good sized head which disappeared almost instantly leaving no lacing. Bottle conditioned with home brew type cloudiness. Slight fruity aroma. I was pleasantly surprised by the slight apricot aftertaste. All in all not a bad mid strength.

Reading mild ale, I didn’t think it necessarily meant low alcohol. Cloudy orange amber with a piss-poor head that disappeared faster than you can say "damn, it’s only 3.5%abv". The weak aroma contained some citrus, mango and a bit of caramel malt. The flavour is quite bland, with not much to distinguish it from water. Palate is virtually non-existant. Really, what the hell is the point of a mild ale. And what is Cooper’s doing muddying it’s rep making one.

Glowing hazy orange...quick striking. House nose, spicy malts, screams Coopers. More of the same in the mouth; clean, slightly spicy, yeasty. Quite sharp and refreshing but unfortunately lacks palate weight. I guess that’s a consequence of the style. I think Cooper’s is trying to have a decent go at a low(ish) ABV beer and in the Australian market I think they have succeeded.

375 ml bottle. Golden coloured beer. Very weak aroma, pale malt, some caramel, no hops. Flavour and body are very thin. Pretty poor.

Cloudy gold, fruity aromas, mildly fruity palate but balanced. A nice midstrength.

Aroma: POR Aussie lagery smell (for an ale). Appearance: hazy orange/brown with an soapy bubbly off white head. Flavour: some POR flavours, yeast and a hint of carbon. Thin not appealing

Nice clear gold colour, good head retention, BIG dark chunks of yeast. Banana and spaghetti aroma - typical Coopers really. Quite thin and watery, yeastiness is the main flavour (not in a bad way). Pretty light on for character, but I guess that’s what they were going for unfortunately.
