It’s not a mild in the English tradition. It’s more like the Sparkling Ale’s weedy second cousin. Bottle-conditioned, so it pours a cloudy gold colour. Thin head that quickly vamoosed. Classic Coopers nose - light and fruity. Thin-to-medium body - much lighter than the rest of the line-up. Apples and pear characters and a much shorter finish than the Sparkling Ale. I wouldn’t choose this over Coopers’ best but I’d rather have it than drink lite beer. (Bottle) DuffMan (2757), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 27, 2005 Bottle: Initial good sized head which disappeared almost instantly leaving no lacing. Bottle conditioned with home brew type cloudiness. Slight fruity aroma. I was pleasantly surprised by the slight apricot aftertaste. All in all not a bad mid strength. bluevegie (2197), Perth, Australia
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 13, 2004 Slightly cloudy, straw coloured body with a pillowy white head that lasted fairly well. On the nose I get some yeast, grains and hints of wheat. Taste is a little lemony, vanilla, a touch of bitterness and a little watery. Overall not bad for a mid-strength that would make it a toss-up against the Rogers if you were told you could only have mid-strengths. Almost a watered down Pale Ale. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 24, 2008 Draught. A pale straw with a thin white head. A light earthy malt on the nose. A hint of milk chocolate in the malty palate. Finish is a bit grainy and metallic. omhper (12224), Stockholm, Sweden
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 6, 2006 Bottled. Muddy mustard yellow, small creamy head. Subdued malt aroma. Dryish and very light bodied. It seems there is not enough gravity for Cooper’s lovely malt character to come through. Instead it gets slightly metallic and has some simple crystal malt flavours with dusty hops on top of it. Low bitterness. It does to allright as a simple low alc thirst quencher, but I had higher expectations.
