After pouring, there was a strong aroma of dried apples. Poured very yeasty and malty with a thick white head that disappeared quickly. Very bubbly. The fruit flavors are present on the tongue but not as strong as in the aroma. Floral and grassy, not much of a hop bitterness. But a crispness and a clean finish. It’s a good summer beer. cellar (500), Dublin, Ireland

For a Pale Ale it’s not a patch on its UK and US counterparts. Seemed a little on the thin side with underwhelming hop character for the style. Attractive gold colour with rapidly diminishing white head. Hints of fruit in the aroma and aftertaste. Certainly not offensive but nothing to get worked up about, either. carlweathers (9), kildare, Ireland does not count | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 5, 2008 Bottle: Nice aroma, light hops not as much as i was expecting. looks the part but slightly dissapointing taste. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 13, 2008 A pale ale that’s actually pale in color. Almost cloudy golden yellow because there is a lot of sediment mixed in and floating around. Has a 1 inch head on the pour, but loses it before you can drink it. Smells like yeast, mild malt and wood chips. Flavor is hoppy, and has a good bite like good ole pale lagers of the Americas. Musty, dirty finish. ChainGangGuy (2590), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 10, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, gold body with a tiny ring of white bubbles.
Smell: Light pale malts, some graininess. Grassy hops, though light. More chicken broth.
Taste: Rather light malt character along with a subdued sweetness. A bit floral, grassy, but not much in the way of bitterness. Grows a bit watery. Dry, abrupt finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A bit of a disappointment, really. tlind2 (604), Helsinki, Finland
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 10, 2008 330 ml bottle. Cloudy amber color, low head. Hoppy aroma with some woody notes (sawdust?). Surprisingly light body and fairly thin, malty flavor. Doesn’t really feel much like a pale ale.
