Hazy golden with a dirty brown tinge and a head that vanishes almost instantly. Slight burnt plastic but some reasonable hops just about sort it. An oily fatty note lets it down further. Faint bitterness in the finish. Not great. Crafty07 (392), Florence, Kentucky, USA

I’m not familar with the ’Burton-on-Trent’ style and I dont’ know what is used on their secondary fermentation to cause this notable sediment, but it seems to work. mgoy (343), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2008 Coopers Original Pale Ale is a hazy yellow color with yeast sediment resting on the bottom and an average/small white head. The aroma is soft with notes of hops and some malt. The flavor is light and refreshing. This is an unexciting ale, but all-in-all, very nice. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 6, 2008 Pours cloudy gold with copious amount of sediment a large white head, good amount of lacing.
Low key flavor profile. Minor bitter effect from the hops, plenty of malt sweetness. An interesting beer. For those who crave sediment. Flavor reminded me of some of the English pub ales. punainen6 (93), Finland

Thin malty/hoppy aroma with some flowery hints. Taste is watery and carries hoppy and metallic notes. Carbonation is rather agressive. Finish is almost non-existent. Boring macro lager. thesimmos (13), Brisbane, Australia

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 30, 2008 Bottle. Poured a cloudy pale with a thin, fizzy, white head that settled quickly. Very light aroma of grass and mats. The flavor is much the same with a slight hint of lemon. Light and crisp body with lively carbonation. (Rating from 6 Sep 07)
