Commercial Description:
Bottle & keg; Unfiltered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast.
"With its fruity character, and robust flavour, Coopers Pale Ale is perfect for every occasion. Naturally fermented in the 'Burton-on-Trent' style, a secondary fermentation creates the trademark sediment that gives 'Pale' its fine cloudy appearance. This cloudy residue can be stirred through the beer by tipping or rolling the bottle before drinking."

hoppy, bready aroma; white, disappearing head; tastes of hops with a slight finish of malt--not much here; I found yeast bits disconcerting

As a great fan of their Sparkling Ale, I was expecting great things here...alas, twas not to be! Slight hazy gold,no head even tho’ a good stream of bubbles tries hard. Nose is a nice mix of fruit & malt. A bit on the light side, low on body and lacks flavour too! I suppose it could be a good thirst quencher on a hot summers day, if it was chilled, but on a cold, wet summers(?) day in the Borders it doesn’t really work.

Bottle, a cloudy pale gold with a white filmy head. A hoppy aroma - with citrus and peach. A hop tang on the palate and effervescent. Cirtus and bubblegum flavours.

I was looking forward to taste this pale ale from Coopers, but sadly this was just a little boring thin pale ale. Fine golden head, but with all too much sediment floating around the beer. The aroma has notes of hop. The flavor was a little sour and metallic. Overall it is an, ok beer, but it’s very watery pale ale.

Bottle. If you’re going through all the hassle of actually making an unfiltered and bottle conditioned beer, why would you at the same time make it this tasteless??

Bottled 375ml. It pours a hazy orange beer with some floating sediment. A small, very quick diminishing head. The aroma is of hops, cereals and metal. Fairly sour and metallic. Some caramel in the taste. Rather weak flavours; a watery pale ale. Not much good hop presence in the taste either. Boring. Slightly herbal taste, maybe some hints of eucalyptus. Apple pie-like elements. A very weak mouthfeel. Insignificant finish.

this is a just a beer. it just has enough of the character it should have to be -just a decent beer-. poured at the gingerman nyc this brew was fresh tasting but watery. it did not have the australian carbonation that i find fulfilling. the flavors were grainy with a hint of something or other not sufficient for discussion. the finish was like a ballantine beer or schmidts which although adequate, not appropriate for the price or effort. decent mouthfeel and backwash only lacking in any flavor.

Very thin, pale, asparagus flavored, overcarbonated, potato starchy, boring, bland, sour drink. Kind of a sour, old peach tartness as well.
