This beer is about as appealing as the All-Blacks looked for the first 20 minutes of the match, unfortunately. Pretty much white head on yellow fizz, with an undistinguished palate and a wave of bitter that comes up at the end. No wonder the bartender seemed a bit surprised to be asked to serve an Australian beer in a half-Australian-themed pub. Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 24, 2006 Hazy golden color, small white head that had a short hang time then faded leaving little behind. The aroma was citrusy with a light malty side. The flavor was pretty decent but not great.Light malty taste with a decent but not so overly done citrus side and mild hop showing in the end,as the brew warmed up a bit you seemed to get a little more of the citrus and malt with a slight sweet side and shot at some hints of caramel or toffee.Over all not bad and would make a decent lawnmower brew due to it being fairly easy to drink. ehhdayton (1113), USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 9, 2006 Bottle, 375ml. A cloudy pale yellow coloured pour with a small quickly-diminishing head. This smells just like a good Witbier - sweet orange aromas with some yeast evident. The flavour is predominantly honey and orange, but the finish is more interesting: a hit of roasted malt with a fair few hops and some sweetness. A little watery in the finish though. High carbonation. This is close to being a great brew, but it isn’t quite there... DruncanVeasey (2732), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2006 Interesting stuff. Visually a ringer for a witbier, but with a woodily spicy aroma reminiscent of certain tripels. Sniffing this intensively. Blindfolded, I’d wager a crate of Westvleteren it was Belgian. But no. This heavily sedimented concoction hails from ’Down Under’. Bitter citrus and bubblegum, capped with a finishing hop dryness. Almost like an Orval shandy. But better. Difficult to categorise or describe, and I like that. The most engaging Aussie I’ve so far sampled. scania (184), Malmö, Sweden
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 4, 2006 Bottled. Hazy golden. Aroma is fruity and spicy. Light fizzy on palate. Fruity and citric flavor. OK but nothing special Gouldz01 (9), Australia does not count | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 4, 2006 This pale ale is bottle fermented leaving a cloudy golden appearance once poured, nose is made of floral, fruity notes with a hint of wheat possibly. The taste isn’t quite as strong as i had thought, slightly fruity with a little sweetness and a touch of yeast in the aftertaste.
