Good whiff of hops with some grass and a biscuity hint. Biscuity flavour with hop bite and a slightly orangey hint. A fairly long-lasting crisp, dry finish. Quite difficult to pour without getting a glass full of sediment - so probably best to make it the first of the night! Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Apr 3, 2005 12.7oz bottle, best before 11.06.06. Served out of the beer fridge @ 40° in a pint glass. I poured it slowly because I was trying to avoid the sediment in the beer and I ended up with most all the sediment and a beer with no head. Yellow orange color and an assload of floaties, just tons all throughout the beer and settled on the bottom of the glass. Aroma is malty, with a slight citrusy, yeasty smell. The flavor is malty, with no real hop flavor to speak of. The finish is a bit perfumy, then almost like flour. The mouthfeel is decent. Overall, not very good. This is very overpriced, Im glad I got it in a mix a six. Krausen (102), USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Mar 31, 2005 Light to no aroma rises from this murky muddy looking beer. I know that it is bottle fermented but the resulting color is not attractive. Nice fruity, yeasty flavor and a mild malt backbone and crisp finish. Easy to drink but not worth the price tag ($9/ 6pk!). swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 30, 2005 This poured a nice golden color with a thin head. The aroma seemed to show some honey and fruit scents. The taste however, was more like that of a wheat beer and not very hoppy. Not a disappointment of a beer but not a regular on my bar. dingo (37), USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 20, 2005 This beer didn’t look like I expected it to. It poured more like a wheat beer than a pale ale. I always compare to my favorite, Sierra Nevada and it was very different. The smell wasn’t very impressive at all. The taste was decent, but very fleeting. A second on the lips, and that’s about it. It was a bit bubbly on the tongue, but the taste just didn’t do it for me. ericmc83 (200), Arkansas, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Mar 19, 2005 Poured a cloudy yellow with a practically no head. I pretty much smell old socks...musty. Maybe it’s just the smell coming through when I taste, but i get a musty taste. I can barely get a hint of a floral, lemonish taste.
Finish is pretty much the same as the taste. No surprises. I don’t think I’ll drink this again. klyster (9), Australia does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 10, 2005 Cloudy with sediment in the bottled variety.
A bit sweet and fruity and extremely easy to drink on a hot day. One of my favourites.
