Thick mouthfeel, nice fizzy carb, thrown off by a sickening corny sweetness, and a cloying phlegmy malt. Could be worse, but tastes like malt liquor.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 9, 2009 Bottle. Classic aussie pale ale. Short lasting off white head, cloudy golden, nice malty, yeast flavour, little hop aroma, quenching, yeast seems to give it extra body, more mouthfeel. Great session drop. This beer tastes even better in its home state... Cirrhosis (619), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Pale beige to light brown very cloudy and tons of yeast chunks floating everywhere, big rocky head not bad retention but this beer doesn’t look right for being a pale ale or blond ale, it just looks ungood. Aroma is nasty sour, sharp metallic, and sulfur this crap smells nasty. The beer has tons of flavor just none seems to be that good, and I can’t seem to make any of out, the only thing a can say its sour, with a pepperyness to it, maybe even the taste of b.o. but before it gets too bad. Mouth fell was descant thought full bodied and very smooth. Overall this beer is not good. HenrikSoegaard (4363), Randers, Denmark

Light bitter flavor. Shprt light bitter finish. Watery palate. Huge disapointment. This is really not a very good beer. Hansen (2282), Randers, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2009 Ah, good old Coopers Pale, probably the beer I consume the most. A smell of this stuff will knock a lager drinker out cold, quite malty, mild hops.. Robust bready and malty flavour, leaves a similar aftertaste but with added corn chip sort of flavour. Heavy carbonation will leave you bloated after 2, and the sediment loaded last mouthful can make you gag at times, which knocks a few points off. Otherwise excellent. imdownthepub (5162), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England

Grainy, thin beer with little definable character. Some fruitiness perhaps, but quite watery. Lacks any punch. PJClarke (708), London, Greater London, England

Loads of banana and tropical fruit flavours very sweet and a little sickly. Pretty crazy light and fruity in the mouth too. Satsumas and hints of mango. Very little hop character at all, maybe the tiniest hint at the back of the mouth. A little too fizzy for me too. I’m not a huge fan.
