Aroma is fresh and fruity, notes of peach apricot, some citrus. Mellow mouthfeel, decent showing of hops, but very minimal bitterness, and a lackluster finish. Pleasant and sweet, but nothing really sticks out. A fine session ale, if you don’t mind unassuming, easy-going flavor in your mug.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 26, 2004 Fruity aroma, hazy pour from bottle fermenting, pale hazy yellow. Not much head. Not much to it... Tastes like a mediocre homebrew to me. And perhaps pale ales are a different breed down under, but where are the hops?? There is something pleasent inm the finish, but this is a rare beer in which that is the only strikingly redeeming factor. I really wanted to like this beer... I thought tomyself when I paid 9 bucks for a six (!!!) finally an OZ bear that isn’t more mass market swill.. but if I had the choice betwen this and a fosters... it would be easily the fosters that won (especially the bitter ... ;) madquacker (729), Canberra ACT, Australia
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 30, 2004 Citrus and lemon taste. Cloudy appearance with abit of sediment. I prefer this to the sparking version which I find too heavy. Cld be improved with abit more zest. Cobra (1066), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2004 12.7 fluid oz. brown stubbie bottle. Freahness date of 28.11.05 inked on the side of the bottle. Damn twist off cap. I hate twist offs.
Anyway, it poured out a pale golden yellow color, with a minimal white foamy head. I left the yeast in the bottle, because I didn’t feel like drinking it today. Watery tasting, thin body, minimal flavors and aromas. What aromas there are smell like weak, stale beer.
Not a top notch pale ale in my book. jgentgesdo (564), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 19, 2004 Pours light yellow with white head, moderately diminishing. Little to the nose - something spicy. Body is very light, Flavor is good, hoppsy, some lemon zest. Overall OK pale ale, but not in the league of Pocono pale. willblake (2191), Belcamp, Maryland, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 10, 2004 08.10.04 12.7oz bottle. Pours lightgoldenyellow with a fair white head. Lots of bits in suspension. Looks like a wit. Aromas are very mild, lightly fruity, hints of banana, apricot, bell pepper. Body is thin and strikingly carbonated, unfortunately reminiscent of Molson Canadian. Flavor is grainy and definitely not repugnant. This is ale? Okay, it’s ale with the appeal of crappy lager. Whatever. Imbockinsxtx (75), Big Bend, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 5, 2004 Tried to acheive a head by swashing the beer into the glass but nothng doing. No Head. Pours a cloudy and opaque yellow colour. Has a faint Aroma of some malts and hops. The Flavour is light and the mouthfeel is light and candied but not by much. There is a lemony flavour. This beer is refreshing but kinda week and watery and bland. Not much flavour and spice going on here. Aside form the colour and appearance the rest is just average or below. Adios! | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Aug 3, 2004 Pours orange-brown with a quickly dissipating white head. Dark sediments have collected at the bottom of my mug. Virtually no aroma. Very watery, little to no flavor at all. No aftertaste...did I really just drink beer? Hard to tell. I suppose little to no taste is better than a whole lot of bad taste.
