oberabcbbsok (653), Hoboken, Belgium May 19, 2007 Not so good tasting beer, drunk on bottle in Belgium, but know him also from oversees. cchubb (73), Minneola, Florida, USA Dec 29, 2006 A richer, more full bodied beer than the lager. More of a sweet finish with a nice bready aroma. A healthy dose of yeast in the bottle was not settled so I got a good bit of it in my glass, adding to the yeasty bite. Very small head with no real staying power and low carbonation overall. Good hopping for the malt level. highlandlad (1184), Sydney, Australia Jan 26, 2005 Updated: Mar 9, 2005The word "premium" is bandied about too freely in the Australian beer market. It’s often a clue that what’s in the bottle is aimed at the sort of drinker who equates price with quality. (Take a bow anyone who regularly shells out for Boags Premium or Crown Lager.) Be nice to think Coopers was above this but they’re in expansion mode and I guess every dollar counts. It poured an amber colour with a thin, disappearing head. The nose is light and malty, which translates to the flavour. However, there are also some unpleasant chalky notes there. All the more disappointing because this brewer makes some of Australia’s best ales. (Bottle) Nemo (100), Fremantle, Australia Jun 25, 2004 Amber in colouring with a thin small head. Malty, grainy, roasted-type of aroma. A bit disappointed as I expected a bit more of a bite from this Ale - but it is still easy to drink and worth a try. Still not bad. Jahills (151), Cambridge (Hobart), Australia Jun 24, 2004 As a massive coopers fan i wasnt overly impressed by this. Not much character to help you remember it by. doesnt have the natural earthy feel of the pale or the dark but still finds it way down.
