| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 20, 2004 Bottled, in sunny Sydney. Honey, amber coloured beer. With a thin, course white head. Sweet malt aroma that is translated completely through to the flavour. Moderate bitter structure that only become apparent after the sweet malts have disappeared. bluevegie (2200), Perth, Australia
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 2, 2003 Not much aroma, not much head, colour was pretty ordinary, is it called "premium" to help it sell? Anyhow it is not that "premium" but not that offensive. Sully (1367), Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 7, 2003 Coopers should stick with their bottle conditioned ales and not try to pinch the 'premium' market, whatever that means. I find it somewhat strange that the description refers to unmalted grains as these are simply grains that haven't been able to convert their starch into sugars, thereby contributing nothing to the wort and perhaps only providing body. Notwithstanding this interesting adjunct it does still have a thinness of mouthfeel and is too much on the sweet side. OlJuntan64 (1267), Perth, Australia
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 25, 2002 Pale amber clear with a large medium lasting creamy white head. Interesting herbal, friars balsam, camomile and floral hops aroma with slightly stronger caramel honey as it warms. Body is a touch too light with mild floral hoppy bitter flavoured start. Lighter sweeter corn malt middle and soft dry finish. Interesting but a bit too bland for my tastes. highlandlad (1258), Sydney, Australia
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 26, 2005 Updated: Mar 9, 2005The word "premium" is bandied about too freely in the Australian beer market. It’s often a clue that what’s in the bottle is aimed at the sort of drinker who equates price with quality. (Take a bow anyone who regularly shells out for Boags Premium or Crown Lager.) Be nice to think Coopers was above this but they’re in expansion mode and I guess every dollar counts. It poured an amber colour with a thin, disappearing head. The nose is light and malty, which translates to the flavour. However, there are also some unpleasant chalky notes there. All the more disappointing because this brewer makes some of Australia’s best ales. (Bottle)
