Quite an offensive taste at first but you, surprisingly, get used to it after a while. Quite easy to drink as it’s very light. Not a great lager, and probably the worst of Coopers’ full-strength range. Drinkable, but just another Aussie macro-lager. I would only suggest this beer on a very hot day, it’s the middle of winter at the moment and I wish I bought the Sparkling Ale instead. dalek123 (103), Houston, Texas, USA

Taste is malt, bread, and minimal hops. This one is much more malty than most pale lagers. Decent, refreshing, but nothing spectacular. NoiZe (1357), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands

Flavor is grainy and slightly bready with some hops at finish. $2.25 for a 375ml bottle from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, VT. lumpsowers (252), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA

Medium carbonation, with a lot of sourness. Some corny grainy flavor. This tastes a little old, but probably wasn’t any good to begin with. Some sweet breadiness, avoid.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jun 4, 2009 Introduced a few years ago by Coopers. Probably the least out of all Coopers. When I first tried this I almost gagged at the fetid grassy aftertaste of the first mouthful. This wore off slowly though, and halfway through it was more tolerable. Beats a lot of lagers once you acclimatise and the grassiness fades. The best thing about this one is that it doesn’t bloat the hell out of you after drinking 2 of them quickly, making it ideal to get pissed. But if you REALLY wanna get pissed on Coopers, try the Sparkling Ale. Decent after you get used to it, but a disappointment compared to most of the Coopers stable.
