mkel07 (494), Brisbane, Australia Apr 22, 2009 375ml bottle. Creamy and fluffy white head of foam. Pale amber in colour with good carbonation and large bubbles and a head that lingers. Very indistinct mild malta roma with a crisp tatse and good bitterness. Surprisinglt good fow a light beer with good mouthfeel. TheGrandMaster (1846), Auckland, New Zealand Dec 24, 2008 Draught. A clear light gold with a large creamy white head and impressive lacing. Just the slightest hint of grainy malt on the nose. Light mouthfeel alright. But decent malt palate. madquacker (706), Canberra ACT, Australia May 22, 2008 Quite decent for a light beer. Lots of malt and a solid taste. Best Aust light beer (slighty better than Cascade Light). gam (1059), brisbane, Australia Apr 20, 2008 Light gold colour, good head, medium carbonation.Aroma, grassy, hop and malt.Flavour, bitter to watery then ooohhh metallic finish. That was quick. DuffMan (2719), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Aug 7, 2007 This seems identical to the Regency Light I had when living in Perth over a year ago, but the brewer insists this is different, and I assume improved (supposedly). I can’t detect any improvement though-- same insipid watery lack of character as the Regency. beerledgend (919), Meadowbank Auckland, New Zealand Nov 2, 2006 clear straw colour indicating that it is filteres, unusal for Coopers. Big white head mild malty aroma, hint of citrus as well. Big malty flavour and mild bitter tatse. Full flavour for light beer, "not too bad", but then I am a big fan of Coopers. ALLOVATE (1126), Perth, Australia Jan 6, 2006 I’m a little confused. Mine says Cooper’s Premium Light, others have Regency Light and another beer is listed as Cooper’s New Light!?! Anyway, the beer is not that important to matter none-the-less. Obviously regional variations. Other’s poured a hazy, medium gold, whilst mine poured quite a lively, brilliantly clear palest yellow gold with a huge pillowy white head that lasted and daubed fluff all down the glass. Tinny, slightly metallic hop and cardboardy malt nose with nothing really else. Quite soft in the mouth in all aspects. Soapy, light body with very soft carbonation. Slightly plastic towards the back, sweet upfront with a dash of peppery, grassy hops coming in just before the short and crisp swallow. Overall, it wasn’t too bad a light beer. Certainly some N/A beers would rate higher in the flavour department, but this was easy to drink. Just not a huge fan of light lagers. (375mL, BB 06/08/06)
