Commercial Description:
Coopers Sparkling Ale is brewed naturally by the centuries-old top fermentation method just as it was in the beginning by Thomas Cooper. This beer displays a solid head and a distinctive, full-bodied flavour enhanced by a soft, fruity character and the sediment which gives it a cloudy appearance.

Thin hazy yellow pour (sediment at work) with white head. Pale aroma of rice and wheat. I wouldn’t say full bodied but kind of light and dry. Some sweetness and pretty good carbonation throughout. Would try this again.

pours a sandy brown colour which is bubbly and very cloudy, which settles to an even lace. Smell is wheaty and malty, taste is wheaty and a little bitter. A well balanced texture - lighter than the alclohol % suggests. Initally bitter aftertaste but doesn’t linger too long. I prefer the Original ale, but it’s not bad.

Pours a dirty golden with sediment. One finger white bubbly head. A yeasty/sweet spicy malt nose. It smells like a similar but MUCH better version of the yeasts that American lagers use. Very light watery body. Weird balance! The flavors try to come on strong but the watery body will not let them. Also it tries to finish dry but it is wet. Hard to explain. It is like two opposite ends of the spectrum at the same time. Not a bad "session" beer.

Bottled. Cloudy golden colour, soft fruit aroma. Faint sweet malt taste with some grass. The carbonation is pleasing rather than overwhelming, but this just doesn’t taste of much. Unimpressive.

Bottle. Pours a light golden in color with a white bubbly head. Aroma is slightly fruity and yeasty. Taste nothing exciting but not off putting.

Bottle, Gourmet Burger Kitchen. Nose of grass and metal. Pours a light sand coloured beer. Visible carboantion. Light bodied. Wet grass and stale hops spring to mind. Highly forgettable.
