Pours a murky dirty yellow with tons of floaties & sediment (and I mean tons!) and an average size diminishing white head (Is there supposed to be this much sediment?). Aroma of grain, quite yeasty along with fruit, light hops and some malt in the background. Flavour’s pretty much the same: Yeasty with grain, malt, light hops, fruit and alcohol. Somewhat sweet and with an average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty decent but I still can’t believe how much sediment there was -- in a Golden Ale? cking (1023), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 4, 2008 A pleasurable beer in itself with many redeeming qualities. Fruity aroma with some calm hop notes, bitter and floral but too faint. Rich, light gold color with some intensely strong carbonation. A thick puffy white head that settles to 1" over time. Heavy lacing and a nice cloudy yeast haze. Creamy and filling on the palate yet lively and refreshing with a moderate bitterness. Herbal flavor that is both bitter and grassy. Peppery spice along with some citrus, nutty and biscuity as well. Solid live ale from the Aussies. thechandler (270), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Pours a slightly cloudy golden hue. Basic white head. Aroma is slightly sweet, but not too pungent in any way really. Taste is not bad, nothing special. Dash of yeast, dash of hops. Little bit of a bread-like aftertaste. Not too heavy or too thin, but doesn’t really have any qualities to send it above average. This is just the second Australian beer that I’ve tasted, the other being Foster’s. If given the choice, I’d most certainly go with Coopers. It isn’t bad, just nothing really to note either way. mmmbeer (748), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 1, 2008 12.7 oz bottle poured into shaker- poured 15% murky golden orange, medium carbonation, bubbles headed to form a white ring around the glass. Aroma of yeast and malt. Hits the mouth with a thin body, the carbonation is very thin and won’t cause a gag reflex, malt comes through cleanly, hops are enjoyed on the finish. Good example of the style. JesseM (666), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 29, 2008 375ml bottle. Pours a nice cloudy peachy orange with a large white head. Aroma: Citurs, lots of it, a tiny bit of malts and some skunk. Maybe some yeast. Taste: Very reflective of the aroma, but in a good way. Very big on the fruity esters, obviously from the yeast sediment. Some tangy citrus flavour all the way through, followed by a malty aftertaste. A touch of skunk for some reason, but I find this evident in all golden/blonde ales. I really like the sediment though. Yet it really isn’t very drinkable, which I find weird. Unlike anything I’ve had before, and I can’t figure out if that’s a good thing or not. It’s sort of a golden/blonde-Belgian wit hybrid. There’s this sort of unpleasant rubbery flavour and feel that comes with the skunky aspect that really prevents me from liking this one as much as I want to. Kind of a shame really, there’s some really nice aspects of this, but they’re fighting to be noticed over the bad aspects. They might not be winning. JFGrind (1352), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 29, 2008 Cloudy, golden bodied ale with even carbonation and grassy aroma. Reminded me of a Euro Lager export, that evolved on the slow boat to the States. Even though I live in Philadelphia, never been to Australia I celebrated Aussie Day while drinking a Coopers and listening to triple j’s Hottest 100. Good bless the internet. onlyrocknroll (220), Cork, Ireland
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 23, 2008 Attractive orange colour with a some dense sediment and and a medium sustained head. Soft malty fruity aroma, nice but too understated. Very drinkible and refreshing, malty with some gentle hop balance and some banana notes giving way to an unusual elegent peachy finish. Nice beer, subtle and a little strange. gam (1103), brisbane, Australia
