Commercial Description:
Coopers Sparkling Ale is brewed naturally by the centuries-old top fermentation method just as it was in the beginning by Thomas Cooper. This beer displays a solid head and a distinctive, full-bodied flavour enhanced by a soft, fruity character and the sediment which gives it a cloudy appearance.

Pours a hazy golden color with a small, tight white head. Visible sediment. Subtle, biscuity malt aroma. Flavor is slightly sour malt with a dry finish. A bit better than the pale, perhaps.

Bottle. Very high white creamy and lasting head. Hazy yellow body. Sweet peach aroma plus notes of hay. Thin and watery mild fruity flavor without much bitterness, low carbonation and a short aftertaste. Wonder what the intention of use of the word sparkling is.

12oz bottle. Hazy gold beer with a small white head that drops to a cap and then hangs around for a while and laces just a bit. Aroma is mild hops. Flavor is watery and yeasty with some astringent hop character and a bit of bitterness on the finish. Dry and short on malts. Doesn’t seem much different from the Original Pale Ale, perhaps just a bit better.. They both fall short of expectations. At least this one has some alcohol and gets a point for that.

Pours a cloudy golden color that is very unattractive. Big poofy head. Has a watery taste that mostly resembles batter or onion rings. Not a fan.

Poured cloudy with alot of sediment and little head. Nose smelled of light spices and light malts. Very traditional aussie beer and very good.

Bottle, a cloudy gold with a white had. Fruit and spice on the nose. A strong hoppy bitterness and efferrvescent. Ground spice flavours, particularly cloves. As Australian beers go, this is one of the better examples and an old favourite of mine.

Fruity, yeasty and sweet malt nose, compliments a crisp and compex malty and sweet flavour, less body than the old days.

Pours hazy golden, with nice but quickly fading head. Very fruity on the nose, pears, apricots, plums, applesauce...Very rounded sugar/fruit/malt flavor (almost like a smooth fruit-punch, )graduates to a sour crisp finish. A nice body, and a quenching refresher.
