Aroma of sunflower seeds and honey. Interesting how nobody agrees on the colour or aroma of this beer. The flavor is good solid malt and hops, pretty straight forward but in a good way. The texture is a bit thin, but the carbonation is nice and strong, tingely on the tongue, but not in a bad way, slightly dry, bitter finish. I enjoyed this beer and look forward to trying others from Coopers Brewery. robinvboyer (1429), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada

Flavour was very very bitter, but not a good bitter, tasted really bad. destroye7 (304), Melbourne, Australia

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 12, 2007 Bronze pour with a small white head. Wood, dirt, straw and malt make up the nose. Taste is sharp and tangy, with some earthiness that seems to be the hallmark of every Cooper’s beer. Overall, a decent beer. beergut111 (210), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 10, 2007 Poured a hazy golden color , lots of yeast in the bottle. Starts sweet with a dry hoppy finish. Not bad, but a bit boring. larsga (2959), Oslo, Norway
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 8, 2007 Biggish coarseish offwhite head. Orange body with yeast floaties. Faintly spicy malt aroma. Taste is bitterish malts with notes of straw and wood with a touch of spice. Dry wooden aftertaste. Has a tart, medicinal quality to it. Very unusual taste, but would probably grow on me if I could find this again. Wouldn’t surprise me if the recipe and brewing methods are quite old. Quite good. (0.375l bottle. Best before of april 2008.) andrewtroth (25), Eagan, Minnesota, USA

Malty undertones and a fairly dry mouth feel. Aroma smells sweet and is pleasant. Overall, this beer looked and smelled better than it tasted, but fairly good nonetheless.
