Poured gold color with hazy sediment and very thin bright white head. The aroma is pale malt graininess, sweet malts and a whisper of hops. Some interesting flavors going on here. Seems to be mild maltiness, some graininess, honey, wheat, a touch of banana and then light hops near the finish. Another lawnmower beer that’s fairly refreshing. One of my all time faves - drink it less than I used to as so much more on the market to try. Love the smell, colour and flavour (banana). Best if the yeast is spread through - invert the bottle slowly or roll sideways on the table pre opening. Best Aussie beer around. probstk (1064), Nepean, Ontario, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 13, 2007 375 mL bottle from LCBO App.: cloudy orange-amber with a minuscule white head. Aroma: Surprisingly fruity (mainly dried fruits), lots of estery fruitiness (tropical fruits, bananas), a hint of caramel or lightly roasted malt behind that. I quite like the nose on this Aussie. Palate: medium body, a bit creamy, soft carbonation. Flav.: a bit of the banana comes through, as does a breadiness. I detect some cardboard...old product? A bit disappointing that the nose didn’t follow through as well. I know that I’ve had this before and I recall an Acetobacter infection. So I guess oxidation is a step up....! Original colour at least. Ripe grape in the taste, very good finish. homersimpsin (40), South Melbourne, Australia

When i got to the bottom of the glass i noticed there was dark sediment floating around, that put me right off!
This is an average tasting beer similar to CUB’s but for the price not good value.
Wont be buying this again incutrav (576), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jan 3, 2007 Had this at Outback steakhouse. Not that great, lots of sparkle, not much taste, it was just way bland i though. Lots o yeast in the glass, with a good bit at the bottom of the glass, so i made a loaf of bread and that was pretty good, so i guess it seems good. alebrewer (122), Mentor, Ohio, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 1, 2007 Apparently bottle conditioned as it’s very cloudy with globs of yeast floating in the beer. Not as sparkling or effervescent as purported, very quickly disappearing head. Must’ve got a bad one. Taste is decent, light fruitiness but nothing that stands out.
