Specks floating in rich opaque amber colored ale. Aroma is overwhelming yeast, pleasant high-quality yeast that beer-lovers will appreciate. Flavor is full of hoppy bitterness with undertones of yeast and malt. A bit too watery. Heavily carbonated mouthfeel. A little fresh fruitiness in there as well. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2006 This bottle poured with virtually no head to speak of, with a cloudy dark amber body. Smells a hint of cherry and apple, and tastes dry with a medium malt, with a carbonated fizz that would rival a soft drink. Not bad! jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA

One of the beer guys at my local whole foods recommended this beer after hearing what I had in mind for the evening. I really like this, decent color, lots of sediment, nice nose...overall a great beer, and quite a welcome surprise. tuqueboy (22), toronto, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Nov 30, 2006 Yellowy-orange colour, with plenty of cloudiness. Bit of a bitter aroma. Bit of hop bitterness. Not nearly as flavourful as it looks like it should be. Also has about twice as much carbonation as it should. Imagine a pale ale crossed with club soda, and this is probably what you’d get, both in terms of flavour and carbonation. Not wildly-offensive, but not terribly interesting. msonnenberg (30), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 28, 2006 light on flavor and high on carbonation, the photo makes it look a lot darker than it is. this beer is light, no question, but if you’re into that sort of thing, this one is decent. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 28, 2006 Pours pale yellow w/ a shallow, short lived, spritzy froth. Aroma of basic malts. Light to medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors are crip and clean w/ a moderate malt backbone finishing w/ a crisp bitterness. A simple, well balanced, likable brew for a warm day. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 26, 2006 Bottle: slightly cloudy yellow-gold colour with a short-lived white head an heavy carbonation; yeasty smell and taste with a hint of apple, prickly in the mouth with some lingering bitterness. Much better than the typical Australian lagers available in the UK.
