Tried to pour it without getting any sediment in the glass but failed. Cloudy orange with particles suspended in the body due to lively carbonation preventing settling. Not much lace. White, mostly eroding head. Flavor works fine. Has good strength for a blonde. Frankly tastes a bit like Heineken. Has a hop profile as it warms. This element gives it 2 more points for flavor. Not bad. fonefan (11525), VestJylland, Denmark

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Sep 8, 2006 Acquired at Hannaford right here in Gardiner... I figured that if this was anywhere near as good as their stout, I’d be doing good. Screw-top 12.7 fl. oz. brown bottle. Murky yellow body with quite a bit of loose sediment floating around in it (clearly bottle conditioned!) with very thin white head. Smells sweet and malty with a little hop and alcohol. Kind of flat. Tastes somewhat sweet, very yeasty, due to all the yeast floating around. Perhaps I’ll have another bottle but try to keep the yeast out, and write another report. A very little bit of hop bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. I really wanted to like this beer. It is okay, but it’s just not hitting the spot tonight... Not nearly as drinkable as I had hoped, due in large part, like I said, to the yeast. Think I’ll be writing another ranking soon. I hate not to give this beer its fair shake, considering how exquisite their stout was (it’s probably just about the best I’ve ever had). CanadaCam (109), Canada
