Fat palate and a note of natural nuts in both aroma and taste. Tastes like a hybrid of ale and lager. Fruity (carambole) and slightly sharp. White chocolate! With the added yeast from the bottle this becomes a quite acceptable saison/Biere de Garde. dunn (6), Sydney, Australia does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 1/5 | 17/20 | Jun 6, 2006 very refreshing, with a kick of yeast at the bottom. i must say i love these subtle hops - both on the nose and the palate, yet sparkling also tastes a llittle sweet. the name also doesent lie, huge carbonation, though intrestingly enough the head fizzles to nothingness very quickly. a nice cloudy ale, great for a warm afternoon! | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 3, 2006 Amber colored with lots of bubbles-sparkling indeed- and visible sediments. Nice medium size white, creamy head. The head disapperas fast but leaves a good lacing. It smells of grains, hints of apples ans citrus. Initial flavor a bit sweet, citrusy, hoppy (I understand Sully now). Smoothly bitter finish. Light to medium body quarterUltra (12), Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 27, 2006 Pours from bottle with a solid but fully diminishing head. Cloudy sediment is very visible. Nice yellow amber color. Aroma hints at apples and citrus. 43.8F. Crisp but not harsh on the tongue. Feels sparkling, but that is not from carbonation. A mild bitter aftertaste that lingers for a bit. Would drink again, but not one of my first choices. GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland

Frutal aroma, some citric. Alcohol not much disguised.
Simple and direct taste. It keeps the frutal tone. Aftertaste rather salty, some bitter.
It doesn’t compares with the extra stout Coopers, but in my country, poor in beers, it has an outstanding place.
