Commercial Description:
Coopers Sparkling Ale is brewed naturally by the centuries-old top fermentation method just as it was in the beginning by Thomas Cooper. This beer displays a solid head and a distinctive, full-bodied flavour enhanced by a soft, fruity character and the sediment which gives it a cloudy appearance.

Bottle. Light sweet berry and malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Slightly sweet grassy malt flavor with a light hops finish. Unique and interesting flavor.

Bottle, in Helsinki Airport. Yellow with a white head, quickly gone, no lacings, unfiltered. Aroma light malty, hoppy and yeasty. Flavor light sweet and acidic. Light body, watery, soft carbonated.

Initially large white head eventually recedes to cover. Underneath body is mostly clear yet sedimented at the bottom. Fusel alcohols sadly show a bit overwhelming in the nose, in the shape of rubbery and sweet notes while DMS strikes as odd without the pils malt crispness. Strong carbonation is initially interesting, but the hops are dulled down terribly by the light faults, though I suspect overheating during transportation is to blame for most of it. Shy malt fails of bringing the flavors up through toastiness and the bitterness feels more like vegetables skin, bolshoi or fenouil like rather than hop derived. Faint fruitiness resembles zesty oranges. I wouldn’t spit at a fresher sample, but being into original light blondes these days, I expected to enjoy that so it’s quite a let down. Light-medium body, initially well carbonated, but after a few minutes, it becomes more ordinary and loses life.

Oh my. Perfect, perfect beer. Best I have tried. Smells fantastic, tastes fantastic and goes down so easy. Such a smooth beer. Wow, wow, wow. Maybe a bit more wow.

Poured golden, cloudy, and effervescent as promised into my shaker glass; but the minimal white head didn’t stick around long. It had a somewhat harsh grainy aroma that slowly straightened up and became more pleasing over time. The flavor was likewise grainy and wimpy, with an strange off-taste that I couldn’t pin down. Had a watery body.

Bottle. Orange amber beer with a thin whitish head. Low malt aroma. Some malt and grassy notes as well as some graininess. Finishes dry and a bit puckery.

Not as sparkly or fruity as you might seem....it is all very understated and less is more in this situtation. Seems to have a lot going on on the palate and then it pushes a clean finish.

Hazy pink grapefruit colour with thick beige head and a few floating particles. Mild apple fruity nose. Mild apple taste with mild bitter hop finish. Hops are slightly more pronounced as it warms up.
