375 mL Bottle. Gold body with a fluffy white head that settles to a tenacious foamy layer with ample lacing. Aroma sweet malt with notes of apple, floral, yeast, and faint innuendos of banana, citrus peel, and honey. Sweet malt flavor with a cherry candy aftertaste, a hop bitter lingers in the finish to make it complete. Very smooth in the mouth. This is an unpasteurized bottle-conditioned beer with sediment on the bottom allowing it to show its true character; brownie points for this part. This Real Aussie Ale is a fine brew, mates!

Dec 23, 2009 (bottle, 37.5cl) Cloudy, murky golden colour with a medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly dusty and yeasty pale malty aroma with subtle fruity notes of citrus and mango. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a moderate, slightly sparkling carbonation. Malty, slightly yeasty and bready taste with light fruity and flowery notes; moderately dry and slightly bitter, also shy floral and fruity hoppy finish. Finally not bad. 21.XII.09

Dec 14, 2009 Pours a pale yellow with a small head. The aroma is grainy, slightly sour, and smells like homebrew yeast. The taste is very dry, mouth puckeringly dry. Simple, and slightly off putting.

Dec 14, 2009 Pours hazy amber almost orange. Suspended sediment. Aroma is malty with a strong and unmistakable coopers yeast smell. It tastes fine, very clean and dry it reminds me of Homebrew.

Dec 10, 2009 Small bottle, not turned. Light amber, small creamy off-white head that leaves some lacing. Sweet, yeasty nose. Nothing like as sweet than I remembered - there’s even a hint of the sourness that is more obvious in the green Coopers. Somewhat over-spritzy mouthfeel. The finish is dry more than bitter. This is the old warhorse of real beer in this country. I haven’t had it for a long time and was expecting to thank it for its service but say it shows what low standards we used to have here. But it’s heaps better than I thought it was.

Dec 6, 2009 Even white foam over a hazy golden ale. Light aroma of caramel and equally light bitterness. Carbonation was on the soft side providing a thin texture.

Nov 25, 2009 Bottle: Poured a bright clear golden color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of dry cereal with light lingering sweetness. Taste is also dominated by some unrefined malt notes and light sweetness with a dry finish with no discernible hops. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nothing to write home about at the end of the day with a sub-standard malt bill.
