Nudge eats a lot of pizza, but I prefer this over the original best extra. People who disagree are dreaming. I am Mr Kelly's secretary.

Very dark and strong stout. The aroma and flavour has lots of darks - licorice, chicory, coffee. It is almost a bit overpowering and I have to say I do prefer the Best Extra Stout, but this is a reasonable representative of its kind.

I believed everyone when they said the best extra stout was better, but after finally trying this I reckon this is much cooler. Heaps more weird flavours have developed in the six months on da shelf like liquorice allsorts and some raisins. I know you can all just leave your best extra in the garage for a few months, but why wait? Pop off to your local now I reckonz. Its true that its thinner, but at least its 6.8% -- best extra is at a measly 6.3% these dayz...

Opaque red brown with medium size and short lasting beige head. Roasted malt, caramel toffee/coffee with hints of resin and friars balsam aroma. Smooth medium light more of a porter than stout palate. Nicely blended medium bitter faint toffee/chocolate and roasted malt sweet flavoured start and middle. Finish is clean and crisp faint sweet malt. Highly quaffable.

Opaque brown. Tones of cellar, apples and some almonds in the nose. Chocolatey flavor with plums and lots of tannins.

A bit smoother, creamier and sweeter than the regular stout, not as much bite, the regular best extra stout is better.

A little drier and thinner than the Best Extra Stout but sitll quite good for a stout.

Nearly opaque with a beatifully forming tan head. Yeasty/bitter chocolate aroma. Mild roasted, slightly metallic flavour. Thinnish body, lacks intensity. The beer is so dark that the sediment isn’t even apparent until you start sipping chunks of it. Appearence and aroma are good, but flavour and palate are somewhat lacking.
