375 ml bottle, 2006 vintage @the billet got told to roll the bottle first by a lovely aussie guy, which resulted in black floaty bits in my pint. hey he said that thats the way they drink it. as for the beer itself it has the most gorgeous smell of honey, treacle and freshlly baked cookies but was let down by a heavy alcohol taste

Bottle (375ml), 07 Batch. Poured a deep copper with a small off white head which was fully diminishing, a bad bottle perhaps? Aroma was of strong toffee malts, caramel, biscuity notes and a touch of vanilla in the back. Flavor was malty with lots of caramel and toffee, with a mild bitterness, some nuts, light alcohol, maple syrup (light) and a warming biscuity finish. Medium to full bodied with lively carbonation, syrupy texture, creamy mouthfeel and a good finish.

Poured very cloudy brown colored with a small tan head. Sweet fruity aroma with a baking bread note. Overly sweet, like an ESB with a load of honey, but it does calm down some as it warms. A bit one note but not a bad brew.

Bottle @ Microbar, Clapham. I must admit this was a lot better than I thought at first. Aroma is grassy, some faint hops, caramel, wine like. Taste is caramel, honey, malts, spices with banana late on. Muddy orange colour with white head and some sediment. Finish is rich and lasting. Finally something decent from Coopers!

Bottle @ Microbar, Clapham, London. Pours a hazy brown coloured beer. Malty, creamy grassy nose. Taste is malty, chewy, hoppy with some powderiness/metal plus caramel. Hops and spices are laso present. There is a lot of visible sediment. At the finish there is a large deposit of sediment at the bottom of the glass. All in a ll a really good effort from Coopers considering some of the dross they market.

Bottle. Best after date: 7/6/07. Pours hazy deep mahogany with thin, bubbly beige head and suspended particles. Nose is cherries, raisins, pears, caramel with very light port wine-like alcohol notes. Flavor is dark luscious fruitiness, textured grains, spices and warming alcohol. Very rich, slightly bubbly mouthfeel.

A fine lookin’ brew! Thick white head, lovely steady bead of tiny bubbles, very slightly hazy, but that’s no problem. Nose is a mouthwatering mix of malt ’n’ hops with a touch of yeast in there too. Full bodied and well balanced, smooth and malty with underlying hop/fruit notes. Good long finish.

Bottle. Muddy brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is malty, lightly roasted and dry. The flavour is quite sweet, malty and lightly spiced. Overall an average beer.
