Bottle. Best after date: 7/6/07. Pours hazy deep mahogany with thin, bubbly beige head and suspended particles. Nose is cherries, raisins, pears, caramel with very light port wine-like alcohol notes. Flavor is dark luscious fruitiness, textured grains, spices and warming alcohol. Very rich, slightly bubbly mouthfeel.

A fine lookin’ brew! Thick white head, lovely steady bead of tiny bubbles, very slightly hazy, but that’s no problem. Nose is a mouthwatering mix of malt ’n’ hops with a touch of yeast in there too. Full bodied and well balanced, smooth and malty with underlying hop/fruit notes. Good long finish.

Bottle. Muddy brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is malty, lightly roasted and dry. The flavour is quite sweet, malty and lightly spiced. Overall an average beer.

Pours a deep brown with a ridiculous amount of visible sediment and a tiny white head. Earthy malt nose. Big alcohol presence with a tangy bite over semi-swet malt. Medium bodied, fairly smooth. Interesting and good, but lacking a bit in complexity.

Had a clear brownish color with a decent head when poured into a pint glass. A sweet smell of caramel and hops. It has a bitter taste that starts strong, but can’t sustain itself. This is a drinkable beer, but not as great as it could be.

What an extraordinary beer! Sweet, bitter, rich. His most glorious Lordship is rather pleased with this ale and looks forward to tasting it when it has matured. He is confident that it will be quite unlike anything else.
