Bottle, 375ml, 2007. An amber colour with a small head. Aroma is hoppy with notes of grain, alcohol and yeast. Taste is caramel, citrus fruit, oats and bready malt. Fairly sweet. Moderate carbonation. A citric apple finish. A nice brew, but feels like it’s missing something.

Dark deep cloudy brown with a thin lasting off white head and an absolute glassfull of white-ish flaoties. Nice aroma of burnt sugar and malts with a sweet ale like taste...nice build up but falled at the final hurdle.

2007 Bottle. Hoppy fragrance with hints of apple. Pours a dark amber with 1" head which subsides without lacing. Flavours of malt and burnt raisins, slightly bitter. I feel it hasn’t opened up enough yet. I have another to age so will update this when that is tasted.

Bottle. Run-of-the-mill ESA, lots of esters, otherwise malt-dominated. Not especially complex. Not all bad I suppose, but probalby won’t search out and drink again.

Bottle. (2006 vintage) Deep golden pour, with microfloaties bluring the body, and a beige head on top. Fruity and caramelly aroma and flavor with some beef-stock. It finishes fruity, with caramel and some roasted malt. Medium body. Quite nice, with a pleasant balance between fruit and caramel. I would like a full body and more pronounced flavor and aroma though. (070809)

Very robust with a high viscosity. Solid ale with a noticeable alcohol content. Nice to enjoy a few of these in a row
