Aroma is dusty and salty. Hazy orange with a tremendous anout of suspended particle. It almost looks like Jello with "bits" in it. Flavor is quite fruity but has a watery finish. It lacks depth of flavor. bsour (78), Boise, Idaho, USA

Dark orange with a reddish tint. Good head that settled to a thin layer. Some lacing down the glass. Large bits of sediment floating in the glass. I should have read the bottle closer. I didn't realize it was bottle conditioned. Nice orange/citrus flavor with a hint of nuttiness. Decent mouth-feel but could have done without with the floaties. Small quickly dissipating head. A pleasant dustiness, sweet ripe orange, very effervescent, estery, passion fruit, light to medium bodied, nice mouthfeel, sweet, white pepper, finishing with faint earthen hops. A reasonably quaffable brew, with well hidden alcohol. SiddFinch (154), Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania, USA

Also, bready (like a barleywine) but very mellow. Very little alcohol presence. This is like a half and half using a mellow barleywine and an English Ale. This is awesome. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 15, 2004 Updated: Feb 22, 2004Rerate 15 minutes later: Much better with all the yeast in the glass. A fruity taste develops and some bready notes are present. Batch number 4-OCT/2002 drank 15-FEB/2004: Hazy orange with a good sized white head. The bottle has a bunch of chunks left in it, so the next pour will turn this at least to 'cloudy'. Slight fruity aroma, boring taste and not much of an ending. While there isn't anything wrong with this beer, there certainly isn't anything right about it either.
