Commercial Description:
In the traditional style, this ale is low-gravity, hand-drawn, and has a generous kettle hop addition. A "session" beer with a tawny amber color, light body, and a wonderful hop flavor and aroma. 4.8% ABV

On tap at the brewpub. Cask version. Pours a rich dark gold with a thick and creamy white head. Has a mild berry aroma. The carbonation is very low making this an outrageously smooth beer to drink. Residual trabeculae of lacing encircles the glass.

Subtle Cascade aroma, which immediately turned me off. The flavor profile was surpsingly weak, husky grainey malt profile, with some overwhelming bittering hops in the finish, clean, but very dry and unenjoyable.

On tap at the brewpub, 4/12/06: Deep golden color with a thin-top and thin body. Lightly bittered. Although among my favorite styles, this was too watery for me.

Draught. Pours copper with a thin tan head. Sweet hay malt and grain yeast aroma. Sour grain malt flavor with a citrus hop finish. Light bodied and smooth palate.

Orange brick. Wonderful, fruity hop aroma, dry and herbal, medicinal with a caramel malt flavor, quite vibrant. Really simple and bitter flavor with a pleasant malt and hop combination overall. A great palate cleanser when drinking many beers in one session. A nice beer overall.

Typical amber color, not much head. Initial taste is sweet, then becomes mildly malty with a hint of hops. Not a big beer, but appropriate for the style . Enjoyable. ReRate: Cask. Very smooth. Nice sweetness up front. Balance with bitterness. Nuttieness comes through at the end. Creamy palate. Nice.

Clear gold. Another vegetable syrup aroma. Sweet caramel and hop flavor, but thin.

Nothing spectacular here. It is served in the british style, room temp, and that doesn't help. It's a bit bland
