Initial taste is sweet, then becomes mildly malty with a hint of hops. Not a big beer, but appropriate for the style . Enjoyable. ReRate: Cask. Very smooth. Nice sweetness up front. Balance with bitterness. Nuttieness comes through at the end. Creamy palate. Nice. SledgeJr (3003), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Pours a rich dark gold with a thick and creamy white head. Has a mild berry aroma. The carbonation is very low making this an outrageously smooth beer to drink. Residual trabeculae of lacing encircles the glass. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
