Commercial Description:
In the traditional style, this ale is low-gravity, hand-drawn, and has a generous kettle hop addition. A "session" beer with a tawny amber color, light body, and a wonderful hop flavor and aroma. 4.8% ABV

On tap at the brewpub. Lots of water! Slight bitter hop note mixed in there somewhere, but missing quite a bit. Skip it.

A very light take on the style, blink and you’ll miss it. Very weak and watery, with a bland caramel malt body, and some light floral hop notes. Very soft on the palate, but needs some tweaking.

Pours a copper color with a white head. Aroma is malt and earthy grassy hops. Flavor is malty, caramel, earthy and a nice slightly fruity finish.

Draught. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (grapefruit), lightly to moderately yeasty (dough, sweat), with a note of metal. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Unpleasant.

On tap at the brewpub on 10/14/07: Transparent bronze amber pour has a wispy-lacing stringy white head. Slightly toasty pale malted sweet nose has some English hoppy balance. Lightly carbonated body has a good British malty sweetness and light bittering hoppy balance toward a smooth finish. Authentic and drinkable.
