Commercial Description:
Our rendition of a classic ale style from Cologne, Germany. Its slightly fruity character and lighter flavor make it an easy-drinking brew.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear golden color with a fizzy white head. Grainy malt aroma. Slightly sweet grain entry leads into a lacking hop finish. Some doughy yeast present. Plain and simple. Not a big fan.

On tap at the brewpub on 10/14/07: Clear golden color has a thin ring of white head. Aroma of slightly sweet pale malt with some lager yeast profile and noble hops. Body starts slightly thin and fizzy, but true to style with a mild sweetness and slightly floral estery hop and yeast character. A decent Kölsch.

Tap @ CooperSmiths: Poured a mostly clear golden yellow with a white head. Malty and mildly sweet aroma. Malty cereal grain notes. Lively carbonation.

This was just a heinous example of this style. Tasted like it was sweetned with corn syrup and almost vegetal and sour. Lots of lemony acidty, with some light cookie dough maltiness.
