Ernest (4169), Boulder, Colorado, USA Dec 9, 2006 Draught. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is medium brown. Aroma is moderately malty (cookie, caramel, toasted grain), with notes of banana, allspice, clove. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Not bad for Coopersmith. A bit too syrupy sweet for the style, but decent enough, and a pleasant aroma. Murphy (1759), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Jan 15, 2005 Thin head, light clear brown color. Small nutty aroma. Taste is very smooth, well lagered. Well hopped, with nice touches of pale malt and hints of roast and chocolate in the finish. Mild bitterness. Doesn’t taste like 7.8%. Solid. Beaver (458), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Jan 31, 2004 The DDWB poured a dark brown with red highlights. It had a huge creamy off-white head that had nice retention and lacing. It's aroma was of crisp, piney hops with some citrus. It had a very unique taste that I found hard to describe. It was a piney malt up front with a crisp, lightly hopped finish. It was a full and creamy beer that was very drinkable.
