Ernest (4481), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jan 1, 2006 Draught.
Head is fully diminishing.
Body is medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (cookie), lightly hoppy (flowers),
with a note of DMS, hint of honey.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Not much honey or other character, somewhat off-putting aroma (vegetal/briny). luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA Dec 30, 2005 Had this on tap at the brewery. Beer poured the palest yellow with a small, creamy lasting head. The aroma was mostly promising—full of concentrated honey, strawberries and lavender, with an unfortunate light tarnish of corn in the background. Unfortunately, there was no follow-up on the wonderful honey notes in the aroma; the flavor of the beer was bland, with a slighly bitter, short finish. The palate was thin and watery, the carbonation was soft.
