CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 16, 2007 On tap at the brewpub on 10/14/07: Pours a mostly opaque black with dark brown edges and a stringy-lacing dark tan head. Semi-sweet dark chocolate nose has a lot of roasted maltiness and some doughiness. Body has pretty good malty sweetness and viscosity with some dark caramel and chocolate flavors along with a touch of dark fruits. A very nice sweet stout. acrdz (4375), Boulder, Colorado, USA Dec 22, 2003 Black with light tan nitro head. Sweet milk and hop flavor, with maybe some milk chocolate and mint
flavors as well. Watery thin but smooth, with a slightly dry finish. Undetectable aroma. Ernest (4250), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jun 1, 2002 Draught. Dark brown to black, lasting head (nitro). Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, dark chocolate), with a note of raisin. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter. Finish is lightly bitter, lightly acidic. Light to medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. goldtwins (3740), Nesconset, New York, USA Nov 1, 2007 I guess I could have entered something special for 3000 but poor planning on my part. Tap @ CooperSmiths: Poured black with a long lasting creamy tan head. The aroma was roasty and ashey. Some chocolate but not too much. The flavor had a chocolate start with some roasted malt and dark fruits poking into the middle. Some tartness. Dry roasty bitter finish. Creamy light body. Nitro pour.
