skoisirius (450), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 13, 2008 On tap at the brewery. I’m not usually into these, but this was alright! HUGE chili aroma that hands down takes the cake for any chili beer I’ve smelled. This leads way to a thin appley base that gets swamped by the peppers. The spice starts slow and builds incredibly as it moves into a good 8 minute lingering finish. A bit watery through, but holds its name in the finish. Spices are still in my throat!
NewBelgium5 (16), , Pennsylvania, USA Jul 3, 2008 Light beer with slightly hazy pale yellow color. One of my favorites. The chili flavor is just enough to enjoy and not too much that it really ruins the beer. Surprisingly refreshing and leaves a slight spicy aftertaste. shp555 (1375), lilburn, Georgia, USA Mar 15, 2008 Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a white head. Aroma is green bell peppers. Flavor is a nice peppery chili spice. As a beer not so good as a chili beer it is pretty good. droogiedeuce (1), USA does not count Feb 11, 2008 Favorite beer, what do you expect? It can be enjoyed with a small side of bloody mary mix, but I prefer it without. goldtwins (3721), Nesconset, New York, USA Nov 1, 2007 Tap @ CooperSmiths: Poured a lightly hazed yellow color with a white head. Big fresh pepper aroma over a mild caramel base. The flavor had a short malt followed by a good pepper taste that grows in spicyness. It heats the throat a bit. Very nice example.
