Deep brown appearance with a large beige head and good lacing. Roasted malt aroma with hints of spice, licorice and almonds. Smokey, burnt toast, bittersweet chocolate and chicory taste. Dry, moderately hopped, medium-to-full bodied mouthfeel. Lingering, lasting finish.

A ddep Blackish brown porter, that had a nice roast and Coffee taste. Hops added to the bitterness overal of this Brew. Decent Alcohol that was over powering

Below average porter, basically black in color, minimal tan head but with great lacing around the glass, everything about this porter had way too much hops in it, the flavors were too hoppy, the nose was too hoppy & the finish was too hoppy, this was very similar to their IPA in that this was very unbalanced with an overpowering amount of hops, only a slight bit of chocolate & roasted coffee were present

Bottle. Pours a deep black body with a persistent large creamy mocha-coloured head. Rich coffee aroma, burnt bread, chocolate, and faint hops lingering in the back. The flavour is really coffee-accented and essentially very dry and bitter. Mouthfeel is very smooth and there aren’t really any bad things about this other than the fact that it’s a bit one-dimensional. Some chocolate roastiness in the finish. Pretty good if what you’re interested in is an onslaught of dry coffee bitterness.

Weak. Pours brown/black with no real head. Aroma is faint roasted malt. Flavor is very watery, but a bit of bitter roast and hops comes through, more hops I guess. Very thin and watery.

Poured from bottle. Malty aroma. Not as oily feel as some other porters. A lot of nut in the flavor. Finished quite nicely. A good porter.

This is a brown porter with a very earthy flavor and mildly bitter dark chocolate finish. Very dry throughout, with a medium, easily drinkable mouthfeel. Pours a deep, but not opaque, dark brown and is capped with a fluffy and resilient tan head.

Draught @ Spuyten Duyvil, Brooklyn. Ruby brown color. Hints of raisins and black currant, with a very light coffee aspect, chocolate and milky cream in the nose. Very low aroma hops. Flavor is malt accented, fruity, with dried chocolate and hints of grapes perhaps. Not a lot of hops at all. True to style and traditional.
