(BOTTLE) Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz into a pint glass. There is no noticeable born on or freshness date on the bottle. Appearance: It has a nice clear amber color body with some visible carbonation in it. The pour produced a small, one finger thick, light tan head which quickly settles down to just a thin ring of lace with a thin island of tine bubbles in the middle. The lacing on the glass minimal and slick. Smell: The aroma has alight nose with hints of pale malt and light citrus like hops. Taste/Palate: Overall it has a light summery body. Its base has light grain and pale maltiness with an almost sour dough bread like character. A very light touch of butterscotch like diacetyl is also detected. Hop flavor add a light touch of citrus and light grassy notes as well as light bitterness. The finish is light, balanced and clean. Its light body is simple, thin textured and refreshing. Notes: This was an easy drinking and refreshing simple summery beer. This beer is also much better on tap then in the bottle!!! (TAP) Presentation: It was poured from a tap at the brewery into a small plastic tasting glass. This was part of the breweries tasting. I think it was two or three dollars to sample each of there seven beers. Appearance: It is hard to say from the sample size but I would say that it would be very similar to the bottled version. Smell: Here is where I started to notice some difference. The malt is still pale and light but the hops are fresher, brighter and bring more citrus notes to the nose. Taste/Palate: Like the aroma, the hop flavor is fresher and more vibrant. The light pale maltiness is cleaner as well and I didn’t notice any diacetyl notes. It is still light and fairly clean on the finish with just a little more citrus hop character. This is very refreshing, light bodied and easy drinking. Notes: This is the way to drink a Nine Man!!! On Tap!!!

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark gold body with a one finger frothy white head that left some spotty lacing. The nose is pretty much all butter with just a little pale malt. Tons of butter on the flavor as well and not much else. Light bodied and slick in texture with a clingy finish. Garbage.

Pours golden with a good clarity, good head, and good lace... good looking beer eh? Aroma is faint and mildly floral. Flavor on the other hand is mild but well nuanced. Lightly hoppy flavors with a mild but pleasant graininess with some rose water hints..

Appearance has short-lived head. Clear honey-golden color. Carbonation visible. Able to see right through it, but doesn’t look light or thin. Some pretty good lace. Smell is dry malt, like a typical ale. Has a slightly toaste aroma. Also has a ncie, honey-coated sweetness. Flowery. Very good. Sweetly pilsnerish. Dry bitter ale malt topped with a sweet, flowery sweetness. Some honey and butterscotch (slightly). Sweetness is really pleasant, not overbearing. Summery and refreshing. Smooth and buttery. Creamy. Not at all thin or watery. Nicely sweet but dry as well. Well-balanced. A summer sipper.

Had this one bottled at the brewery in Milford, New York. Medium yellow pour, with a light, maple sweetness with a nice piney hoppiness, and a sharp finish, very nice!

12 ounce bottle from Glenville beverage. Pours a golden color. Head hea dthat disapears quickly, no lacing. I can small the hops. Taste is hoppy and has a little bite, kind of sharp in my mouth. If anything else is available , try the others first.

Pours a nice light golden and a decent white head- fades slightly. Aroma is traditional ringwod butter diacetyl with some herbal floral hops and some light bready pale malts. Doughy and bready flavor a bit slick with diacetyl , butter, and lightly hopped. Goes down ok. One of the more prominent diacetyl bombs of their lineup.

notes from 3/11/08. on tap from brewery tasting. Pale yellow in appearance, aroma is faint of hops. Quite simple, subdued hop flavor with slight end sweetness. Very drinkable, but nothing special.
