Bottle, from sampler pack. Not bad. More malty than hoppy. Has a bit off an off flavor I can’t quite identify.

Bottle (12oz). Poured amber-gold with a huge foamy sticky white head. Metallic stale malt and hop nose, dried flowers, taste of rye toast and popcorn, some pungent yet dry UK hops yielding a bitter finish with a hint of metal. Slightly thin body and drily astringent - not super carbonated but quite sharp in the mouth.

Pours a clear golden brown with lively carbonation and a creamy, substantial head. There are some hints of nut up front, but the dominant flavor comes from the pronounced hoppy finish. A very drinkable domestic pale.

(12oz bottle) Enormous off-white head atop a hazy amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, some tea, caramel, light earthy. Taste is medium sweet, orange, caramel, light tea. Watery light-medium body.

[bottle - 12 oz] Hazy orange color with a thin head. Very sweet aroma. Lots of caramel and malts in the nose. Very surprising for a pale ale. Nice and crisp taste. Well balanced hop and malt flavor with a sweet middle and a crisp and slightly dry finish of apple cores, malts and grass with a touch of hops. Rather interesting APA.

I live near where this beer is brewed, so I see it a lot in local stores and restaurants. Better that a lot of the other offerings. Sort of in the same class as Sam Adams or Saranac Pale ale, at least as far as impressions go. Nice amber color, nice head, not too harsh and bitter. Has a nice flavor for those who like ambers. I would recommend it.

Not sure if my shipping this beer across the country had some effect on the flavor. It pours a nice clear amber color with a medium white head. The aroma is a perfumy sweet fruitiness. It’s upon tasting the beer that things began to go wrong. Light bodied and watery with a strong metallic flavor. Gave the beer a little time to warm up. With time the metallic flavor faded into the background and a sweet malt flavoring became apparent. A touch of hops take over in the finish and tends to linger on the taste buds. With time this beer did get better, more flavorful, but the flavors seemed to clash more than they complimented each other. In addition, the mettalic characteristic never completely faded. I’d like to give this beer another try when I’m back in NY.
