Commercial Description:
"Pride of Milford" is a very special ale with a tapestry of complex flavors and aromas. It is brewed with five malts and fermented with the Ringwood yeast at a higher temperature which gives this beer a uniqueness all its own. "Pride" has a distinctive reddish copper color. It is strong and rich beer. When "Pride" was first brewed in December 1999, many thought the flavor and aromas of this beer had fruit overtones. No fruit or adjunct flavoring is added to this beer.

Exemplary within its style. Pours a deep amber color with a small head and good lace. The aroma is very floral semi sweet and fruity. The flavor is nicely nutty and fruity with a light herbal bitterness and some earthy and spicy hops.

Bottle. Dark brown body with a tiny bubbly white head. Aroma: honeycomb malt, slight spice, yeast, lemon and alcohol. Flavour: spicey malt, ’dusty’, dark autumn fruit, corn, tangy fruit peels and a long bitter malt finish. Interesting.

Pours a deep amber with a large tan head. Had a real hard time pulling a nose off of this. Got some yeast and some ripe fruits at first. Flavor is prune, fig, booze, caramel, some citrus. Decent hop bitterness, toasty malt and raisin. Nice.

Has a bit of spice note that reminds me almost of a Xmas ale posing as a Strong Bitter. My taste buds are confused, but it’s not bad.

Had this one bottled at the brewery in Milford, New York. Bright, medium yellow pour with an unusual banana and strawberry nose, citrusy, with pineapple, cherry, citrusy hops, spectacularly complex, excellent.

Rich caramel aroma with hints of banana (a bit like bananas Foster). Flavor is medium sweet with a slight hint of metal and a drying hop finish. Interesting beer.

12oz - Light tan head over brown liquid. Wood and creamy caramel on nose. A sweet malt palate, some molasses character. I liked this one.

Deep mahogany with thin head. Malty nose, toasty with caramel. Caramel malt sweet with dry hop bitterness. Not so full on the palate and finishes clean. Real nice go. A stand up double. On tap at Dive 96, NYC
