Commercial Description:
Is more like the stouts of England which are somewhat sweeter than the Irish national drink. All in all, "Strike Out" Stout is a very smooth, well rounded "brew" with a full roasty palate.

[12 oz. bottle] Dark black color with a very nice tan head. Rich smell of roasted coffee and some sweet malts. The flavor is a very smooth combination of coffee, malt, brown sugar, chocolate and toffee. Very nice, smooth and well blended. Very good stout.

Flat black color with a dark tan head. Even cold there is a lot of roast aroma. Odd roast flavor. Sharp carbonated mouthfeel, not creamy at all like a sweet stout should be.

Obsidian pour with a huge tan head. Aroma of malt, chocoff, some cognac, and a semi sour element. Tastes of chocoff, some nuts, some cognac and cabernet. Light on the palate for a stout. Finishes with a roasty, malty, chocoffy, somewhat dry finish.

Opaque black body with a massive chunky dark Mocha head. Chocolate and coffee dominate the aroma. Chocolate and coffee again in the flavor with a slightly bitter roast malt touch. The body is a bit thin, but this remains a good drinkable Stout that will have it’s followers. I’d accept it as a Porter too.

Very dark pour, almost black. Sweet vanilla in the nose with some roasted malt. Creamy chocolate but not too sweet. Dry clean finish.

Ruby accented black body, with a tan head that dissipates. Bit of roast in the aroma but not not a lot, bit of malt. Roasty malt is fairly subtle in the flavour, with a hint of sourness in the background. Interesting. Palate is far too light in my books for a stout, though it is not unpleasant. Odd but nice.

First of all- this was a little too overcarbonated. I like my stouts slightly carbonated. This is why I dont like bluefin stout. It had some good aromas and flavors- mostly roastiness with some chocolate- liek any other good stout. FInish was a little prickly due to the overcarbonation. Decent but not great.
