Commercial Description:
Is more like the stouts of England which are somewhat sweeter than the Irish national drink. All in all, "Strike Out" Stout is a very smooth, well rounded "brew" with a full roasty palate.

Head is initially large, frothy, brown, mostly lasting. Body is black (but not opaque). Aroma is moderately malty (roasted/burnt grain, caramel). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. This sample is very highly carbonated and thin of body. Not much aroma to speak of either. Swirling to get rid of excess carbo doesn't help much. Good flavor balance though.

Pretty good brew. A little thin tasting at first, but the after taste lingers and is very satisfying. I enjoy this one and would buy again.

Liquid chocolate truffle!!! Milk chocolate and some slight hints of coffee. Carbonation goes away quickly to reveal a nice chocolatey drink. A bit watery, but made up for in chocalte malt goodness. Dry at the end, wonderful!

Dark brown opaque body, small short lived light brown head. Roasted barley aroma. Taste is of roasted barley and coffee notes come through. Far too thin and one dimensional.

Dark garnett-brown. Small tan head. Nose of roasted/toasted malt, light fruity sweetness. Light licorice, coffee, espresso...Smooth and well rounded, just a little thin on the flip side. Finishes smooth, light roasted grainy ending.

Clear blackened red, with a thick almondy colored head. Aroma is a little thin, but mostly roasted malts. Flavor is much the same, with hops providing only a little dryness in the finish and a light undertone to the roastiness. Not very complex, and I found it to be almost identical to their porter, but i liked that better.
