Oct 30, 2007 Smells like dark chocolate with notes of roasted malts. Pours a jet black with a very foamy brown head. Taste is very very watery, but what taste there is is very good. Roasted chocolate malts with an over-carbonation. Not bad, but way too watery.

Oct 21, 2007 Bottle: Opaque black pour has dark mahogany edges and a small froth of tan head. Has a soft dark chocolate and toffee nose. Body has a lot of carbonation and some earthy dark chocolate flavors and smoky ash flavors toward a thinner, roasted finish. An ok stout, but could use some more sweetness.

Sep 16, 2007 Opaque black with a light brown head. Aroma of molasses and dark fruits. Flavor of dark chocolate, dark dried fruits, and slight roasted coffee notes. Moderate acidic twang. Full bodied and moderately sweet.

Sep 10, 2007 Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of roasted malt. The flavor is swwet malty with strong notes of hard roasted malt, giving it a slight acidic edge, but also a light touch of chocolate, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks to my friend Lez White in Baltimore for supplying me with this.

Aug 11, 2007 Bottle purchased in Cooperstown. Deep rust-toned brown body with a foamy light tan head. Aroma of cocoa, roasted marshmallows, and tea. Semi-sweet flavor with light roast and a touch of acidity, but the palate is thin and vapid. A more dextrinous body would really help here. This is a bland stout that strikes out, indeed.

Aug 11, 2007 Bottle... Pours pitch black with a huge, wispy, khaki head. Good retention. Sweet, chocolaty aroma with undercurrents of caramel, vanilla, toasted cashews and diacetyl. Mostly sweet flavor with some mild, roasted notes of dark chocolate and coffee with a dab of caramel. Low key acidity. Full-bodied with a silky-smooth mouthfeel with lively carbonation. Lengthy, chocolaty, lightly bitter, dry finish. Growler provided the bottle!

Aug 6, 2007 Bottle. Very dark brown colour with a huge light brown head. Nice aroma of coffee, chocolate, maltness and some roastedness. Nice flavour of coffe, maltness and chocolate. Very nice endeed.
