Commercial Description:
Is more like the stouts of England which are somewhat sweeter than the Irish national drink. All in all, "Strike Out" Stout is a very smooth, well rounded "brew" with a full roasty palate.

Had this one bottled at the brewery in Milford, New York. Oily dark brown pour, molasses and soy sauce nose, barbecue sauce, coffee, chocolate, nutty, and complex. Great!

I was pretty impressed. Nice dark tan almost brown head on a black body. Nice roasted smell and flavor. Went down qutie smooth but the carbonation could have been toned down for my standards.

It is a good tasting stout. Very smooth not as bitter or as heavy as a typical stout.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. There appears to be no freshness date on the label. Appearance: The body has a deep dark brown, nearly black color. It is very dark and nearly opaque. On top sits a small one finger thick foam head. It is tan in color and quickly settles down to a thin wispy layer that just covers the top. Lacing is minimal and slippery. Smell: There is a firm aroma of sweet roasted/toasted malts with notes of fresh brewed coffee and just a hint of dark chocolate. Taste/Palate: There is a solid sweet roasted malty character with a good balance of toasted bready notes and dark roasted bitter coffee notes. As the beer warms hints of dark chocolate and mild spicy hops sneaks in there here and there as well as some mellow almost brandy like alcohol notes. The palate has a solid medium feel with mellow balanced carbonation. Notes: This is just a good solid stout.

Black; fudgey, milk chocolate nose w/ vanilla, sweet malts. This is like drinking the finest Belgian chocolate - no artificial chocolate taste either (Rogue), this is creamy, natural goodness. There is a touch of balancing roast to make sure this glides smoothly. Session stout extraordinaire.

Black, nice head. Soft, sweet chocolate aroma. Dry, yet smooth, subtle chocolate body. Very interesting beer.

Outstanding roasted malt profile with a light sweetness atop the dry malts. Excellent hop balance with some earthy notes. Excellent on tap.
