Commercial Description:
Striker Brown Ale is similar to an English brown ale "with a little more muscle," Land said, and is a "soccer-themed beer." "It’s a smooth brown that’s not topped off with any hops," Land said. "It’s got a very clean finish." --Oneonta Daily Star

Bottle purchased in Cooperstown. Clear amber-brown body with a creamy head. Smells like toffee, sweet coffee and a note of milk chocolate. Same flavor profile and is medium sweet with little balancing character of any sort. Thin body—desperately needs to be brewed at a higher mash temperature, I think. Soda-like in flavor and feel. Reminds me of a chocolate-caramel soda. Thin and lacking in depth, much like the MLS.

Bottle. Opaque reddish black in color. 3/4" head. Sudsy. Roasted nuts, smoky (could be the fire I’m sitting next to), malty. Smooth, but again, watery thin body. Nutty finish on the roof of mouth.

Just sampled it, I was told it was only two weeks old. They mentioned it had a bunch of different malts, and while I see that is the case, I feel like it doesn’t contain enough yeast or hop backbone to support all the malt that is present. Its a very malty beer, not a ton of carbination, but an interesting offering to say the least.
