Aroma is generic cola and ever so slightly toasted malt. Body is a ruddy brown and holds a ridiculous three finger thick, science experiement gone wrong, explosion of a head that simply wont go away. Watery fore is followed by a suprisingly biting crispness, sweet bready notes and some muted cocoa notes. Not really feeling the love for this one, but that massive head makes me think it might not be in optimal condition. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

Tall chunky head of tan colored whip cream (no cherry) over a rich brown body.
Faint malt aroma.
Lightly sweet, palate is somewhat watery.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 30, 2006 Average, watery. Pours red brown with a crap head. Aroma faint consisting of toffee and caramel. Flavor is a nice but watery toffee and hop combo, a piney hop which didn’t blend well. HighlanderOne (547), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA

Real dark, thick, light tan head. Toffee and nut notes in the flavor. Very clean aftertaste. Kinda of a spicy feel in the back of the mouth. Can’t get over how smooth this is. Nut/oak finish. Excellent beer. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 6, 2006 Wow, a brown ale that actually made me sit up and take notice. Cooperstown has a winner here. The body was medium copper with a kahki head. The aroam was caramel and chocoalte. There was also some pears and cinnamon. The taste was dark chcocolate with a hint of oak and a bit of coffee. I like this one a lot. Cletus (5060), Connecticut, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 22, 2006 On draught at the brewery. Pours browbn with a small head. Smells fruity with some nice nutty elements and earthy hops permeating through. Tastes mildly fruity with some berry notes giving way to a semi tart malty backbone.
