I like the ref below to it being reminiscent of Killians. It kinda is but much better in my book. It has just a bit more character which is a big deal considering how little Killians has of anything decent. Nose and taste are pretty malty and dare I say a tad "spicy". No it’s not great, but jeez, think about its stablemates. Thin-bodied, and the decent flavor fades quickly into a little wisp of hop/malt mix. As long as you don’t go in with big aspirations this one doesn’t leave you feeling "life taking" disappointed. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

It reminds me more of an amber ale than a true winter beer, which I’m glad to see it is. The finish is a little sticky and with too much alcohol but is a decent beer. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 26, 2005 This bottled brew poured a large sized head of foamy fine to medium sized mostly lasting off-white colored bubbles that left behind a poor lacing. The body contained very soft carbonation, was transparent and copper brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of malty caramel and was nice. Its mouth feel is initially slightly tingly crisp thick caramel with a lingering slightly tingly thick palate and a malty aftertaste. Its flavor contained malty caramel hoppy sweet notes and was very tasty. Not a bad brew from Coors! This is more like what I would like to see from the big brewers. It has character and a little flavor! Try it!. ebarnes (213), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA

Slightly hoppy and malty aroma, strong caramel scent, slightly spicy (nutmeg)
Initial: Slightly sweet, with almost a spicy taste (nutmeg). Hints of caramel and chocolate.
Finish: smooth, with lingering bitterness, warming feeling from the spices and alcohol. VERY GOOD for a large scale American brewer. bu11zeye (5621), Frisco, Texas, USA
