Commercial Description:
Coors Brewing Company celebrates the holidays with Winterfest - the nation's longest-running seasonal brew. Brewed once a year, in celebration of the season, Winterfest is a handcrafted brew that has earned Coors much recognition. Prior to its broader availability, Winterfest was enjoyed almost exclusively by the Coors family, company employees, and their friends. In 1986, Coors expanded the tradition of Winterfest to include the entire state of Colorado. The response was so enthusiastic that, every year since, Coors has offered the special winter brew in limited quantities and packages. Winterfest is available on draught and in six-pack longneck bottles, from early November through January, depending on how long supplies last. Winterfest is the perfect beer to toast a new season or a new year. 190 calories per 12-ounce serving and 5.6% alcohol by volume.

One of my old favorites....if it’s possible to say that about a Coors product. I like the ref below to it being reminiscent of Killians. It kinda is but much better in my book. It has just a bit more character which is a big deal considering how little Killians has of anything decent. Nose and taste are pretty malty and dare I say a tad "spicy". No it’s not great, but jeez, think about its stablemates. Thin-bodied, and the decent flavor fades quickly into a little wisp of hop/malt mix. As long as you don’t go in with big aspirations this one doesn’t leave you feeling "life taking" disappointed.

Smells pretty Cooroish. It reminds me more of an amber ale than a true winter beer, which I’m glad to see it is. The finish is a little sticky and with too much alcohol but is a decent beer.

Amber color, thin fizzy head. Very light citrus aroma. Flavor, grapefruit citrusy, light malt. Decent light flavor, not too bad.

Eh, not that bad. Fizzy and amber, like a Killian’s. Not really something that i would want on a winter night, but itll do.

This bottled brew poured a large sized head of foamy fine to medium sized mostly lasting off-white colored bubbles that left behind a poor lacing. The body contained very soft carbonation, was transparent and copper brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of malty caramel and was nice. Its mouth feel is initially slightly tingly crisp thick caramel with a lingering slightly tingly thick palate and a malty aftertaste. Its flavor contained malty caramel hoppy sweet notes and was very tasty. Not a bad brew from Coors! This is more like what I would like to see from the big brewers. It has character and a little flavor! Try it!.

Lasting thick head, offwhite (beige?), pours a dark reddish amber color, perfectly clear. Slightly hoppy and malty aroma, strong caramel scent, slightly spicy (nutmeg) Initial: Slightly sweet, with almost a spicy taste (nutmeg). Hints of caramel and chocolate. Finish: smooth, with lingering bitterness, warming feeling from the spices and alcohol. VERY GOOD for a large scale American brewer.
