I especially liked the way that it had a tad of fruitiness but that it didn’t overcome the beer. This is especially good about 10 in. BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA

Smells like caramel malt, kind of toasty. Tastes caramel malty. Medium-bodied. Actually a pretty decent little beer. Tastes like a craft beer. Reminds me in some ways of Ayinger Oktoberfest-Marzen. I can see myself getting this one again. Kudos, Coors! Slightly hoppy and malty aroma, strong caramel scent, slightly spicy (nutmeg)
Initial: Slightly sweet, with almost a spicy taste (nutmeg). Hints of caramel and chocolate.
Finish: smooth, with lingering bitterness, warming feeling from the spices and alcohol. VERY GOOD for a large scale American brewer. Bov (5495), Bienne, Switzerland

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 28, 2007 Pours a four finger cream head that fades quickly to a ring leaving a good lace. Crystal clear amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Slight malty nose. Starts with a slight sweetness, balanced with slight bitter finish, more like a brown. Far better than their lager. $1.50 for a 12oz bottle from Capital Convenience Concord, NH. Pwn3d (1088), Manhattan, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 6, 2008 Found this sucker at a small deli in the upper west. Prior to that, I’ve never seen or even heard of it before. Pour is impressive, dark brown with a tint of ruby.. generous amounts of sediment which i would have never expected from Coors. Its actually the first macro ive seen with this. Aroma is malty, maple, and a bit of vanilla. Taste is bitter, malty, some nutmeg, sweet caramel, and a bit of burnt. Holds a bitter linger. So underrated, if this didn’t read Coors it would be 60/100 minimum. 3.65 BigNasty (55), South Lyon, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 20, 2005 For the record, the recipe for this beer changes each year, depending on the whim of the brewmasters and what ingredients happen to be available at brewing time. Also, distribution ranges year-to-year, currently only being distributed in Colorado. The 2004-2005 brew was overall not bad, nice dark color as I have come to expect from winter brews. However, I didn’t find the flavor profile or aroma to be much different than that of Killian’s, and many customers I served during the holidays in 2004 at the Coors visitors’ center commented that the flavor wasn’t as good as the 2003-2004 recipe. Hopefully I can get my hands on a few bottles of th3 2005-2006 recipe if I visit the in-laws over the holidays.
