Commercial Description:
A pungent hoppy aroma, with an intense bitterness (92 IBUs) in the palate as well as a caramel maltiness. It is about 8 percent ABV.

On tap at brewpub. Pours reddish amber with off-white head. Aroma is hoppy with citrus, caramel, toffee and some sweet malt. Flavor is caramel, toffee, citrus, ginger, bitter hops and chewy malts. Nice chewy mouthfeel with appropriate carbonation. This is a nicely hopped well balanced american strong ale. By far the best beer they had on tap.

On tap at the Great Lakes Brewfest 2009. Hazy fire red with a thin tan head. Aroma of ginger, caramel, mild nuts and earthy hops. Taste of earthy hops, ginger root, sweet malt and a touch of alcohol. Finishes up mildly sweet and moderately bitter. The ginger isn’t overdone but very evident… nice brew.
