BBB63 (3843), La Porte, Indiana, USA Aug 7, 2008 2008 MiBGF: Rich coppery hue with an okay head. The aroma is RYE baby! Oh and some resiny hop, pepper, and biscuity malts too. The taste is sharp and crisp combination of rye, hop, and mild acidic fruit profile balances slightly by pale malts. The finish is a tad astringent and spicy. The mouth feel is chewy and oily, nice for the genre. This was the best beer I had on Day 2 of the fest, very refreshing and tasty. Silphium (2049), Lansing, Michigan, USA Feb 29, 2008 2008 MBG Winter Beer Fest. Bright, floral, citrusy hops, light pine, with fruity, grainy rye notes. Crisp and fresh, tingling the palate. Well-done.
